Hi guys, question regarding environments. When recording deployment, I can state which environment to publish the pact to. When a consumer publishes pacts, there is no variable which I can pass in order to let it know which ENV I would like it to publish to. So if I have a service
X
which has contract version
1.0.0
in
production
environment, and I have published a contract version
2.0.0
in
test
environment, how can I publish pacts and have it trigger verification for the
test
environment contract? Thanks

You don’t deploy contracts, you deploy applications. Hence why you record a deployment for an application. You associate a version of your application with a contract. But the association of application and versions, we can work out compatibilities.
So if I have a service
X
which has contract version
1.0.0
in
production
environment, and I have published a contract version
2.0.0
in
test
environment, how can I publish pacts and have it trigger verification for the
test
environment contract?
so the premise is wrong. replace “contract version” with “application version”. PactFlow manages the versions of contracts separately (and hidden) from users to not expose this detail. Some contracts don’t change between application versions, we essentially version the changes.
