👋 Hey #C9VPNUJR2 I've a quick question and apologies if it’s been asked here before but I wasn't able to find an answer on the docs. Is there a way for the Pact Broker UI to link out to a pact contract based on a tag or version instead of
latest
? I’m specifically talking about having these link out to a mainline `master`/`main` tag ? Hope my question makes sense, can 🧵 for more context.
It's definitely not a big deal and honestly, the fix was to just rebase a build but we realized that because we publish a contract on branch builds, if that branch is behind
master
or mainline, it will show that last push on the main homepage

I don’t believe so. The UI in the broker has received very little attention for these sorts of details, with the focus on providing a fully functional API.

You could get to it via the matrix of course, but I’m assuming you’re looking for a nicer view of the contract (rather than e.g. the raw JSON)?

Ah right, yeah. The matrix works just fine for my team. We’re currently putting together documentation for our customers (we work on a developer experience team) and we had came across this and kinda just flagged it as a user experience confusion. I’m thinking just pointing this out as a disclaimer in the docs and linking out to the matrix would be the way.

Yeah, it’s not as nice as what we have in PactFlow (and nowhere near as nice as the new design about to launch). We have discussed potentially open sourcing our UI and retrofitting onto the existing broker, but that’s challenging for a number of reasons.
