0.92.1 OSS alerts: I am reworking my email alerts. Some which were 2-3 years old were not functioning anymore, but lots of things have been fixed. So I deleted them all and am starting fresh. However, I'm having trouble with "glass floor" alerts - one which fire when no matching logs are received for a time period. The simple form of the alert (without an aggregation that used to be necessary) fires correctly (total_records < 1). But no email is generated. I get the log message "Alert fired without notification (Deliver, payload empty: true)". I've tried adding custom fields into the alert but no difference. If I change the criteria to total_records>1 the email is correctly generated. So it looks as though using an email destination is blocked when there are no rows. Have I got that correct, and is there a possible way to do it now?

I was able to reproduce the issue on my end as well. It doesn’t seem to be specific to the email destination, I was able to reproduce the same behavior with a Slack destination. It looks like there may be an issue with the alert configuration/notification payload when the alert fires with no matching records. I’ll raise this with the team and get it investigated.
