🚀
This week in OpenObserve
Our team shipped a ton this week, here are some of the highlights:
✨
What's New
•
Org-wide home dashboard. Everyone opens the same view by default, so nobody's hunting for the right dashboard or missing the metrics that matter.
•
Auto CPU limiting. One less resource config to get wrong, fewer OOM incidents in prod.
⚡
What's Faster
•
file_list count(*) returns instantly now instead of scanning. Dashboards relying on row counts feel snappier, even at scale.
•
Compactor DB load cut way down, plus
vortex compaction folded into the compactor. More headroom for concurrent workloads without extra infra spend.
•
Region leader and
super cluster reduce improvements. Lower latency if your team is spread across regions.
🛠️
What's Fixed
•
Eval pipelines no longer block ingestion. Been seeing unexplained lag lately? This was probably it.
• RUM
sessions and
error tracking are noticeably smoother now.
• Traces
run-query button works reliably, and that
scroll-jank on spans is gone.
•
Valid emails that were wrongly rejected now work, and the
group→role mapping bug that could silently break permissions is fixed.
•
Windows path bug,
OTLP histogram crash,
blocked Teams webhook URLs. All gone.
That's 60+ merged PRs in 7 days 👀
Which of these are you most excited to try, and what's still bugging you that didn't make the list? 👇
