i wanna detect the player's city i have 2 ideas one is to choose one x,y in each city and check the player x,y and detect the nearest city the other one is to create a minx, maxx, miny, maxy and detect is player in them or not, and if its not in x,y range then decide to check the nearest one

the second one seems more logical, to me, since a city isn't just one point, but an entire area....

I think this is the best way, although not the simplest one... It's the most accurate

You can use GangZoneCreate for this. Used it for a streets project a few years ago
It won't show the colour of the zone in the HUD unless you you use the function
