I don't think the solution should be to use mods that can also cause issues, the base game should work as is, there will be a very specific reason to the crash @refined-spoon-752 I recommend you check your event viewer after the crash to see if Windows gives more low level details on the crash itself. There are tools out there for giving you better information for the crash, so you could try them, you'll have to do a little googling for them though.
