Rough wireframe on a different flavor of onboarding. This would skip the 3 step onboarding we have now and drop you straight into the main view. If you already had claude/codex/gemini/ACP available we could just let you know its working. Then some other inline UI if nothing is set up (TBD). Then move the left checkbox style onboarding list to the same card style suggested notifications use 🧡for any feedback. Totally fine to πŸ‘ πŸ‘Ž

I like it, a new row of the different things that are top level.
h
Yep
I see that left overlay a lot in recordings and screenshots so i think its maybe getting in the way more than helping. But I also want to shorten onboarding for the happy path where most folks probably already have claude or other CLIs already installed
b
let's test it out we could also try putting the onboarding on the right bottom side

I like the direction! QQ: do we know our onboarding dropoff rate (@quick-window-91705)? It’d be good to establish a baseline and then if we make a better onboarding experience see if it bumps the number of people that get to their first conversation, or their first automation.

I'd love to see OpenHands on the first screen πŸ˜‡
Sign In with ChatGPT is probably a very good start, so that the user has LLMs already connected
h
If we get access to it we can try it. Although lately my chatgpt subscription feels worthless compared to claude. I hit the 5 hour limit if I do almost anything within 30 minutes

I believe OSS works without waiting for approval
h
Yes true, the current one does
c
the current one?
I meant it issues a client_id, on first sign in, so no need for waiting for access https://developers.openai.com/siwc/token-sharing-open-source/sign-in
