Codex is reviewing #861 now 🐾 My quick take: this fits today’s App model well—a standalone page, using existing file APIs, with no Canvas-specific feature flag or new server endpoint. Agents can read the saved 
.excalidraw
files, but there’s no automatic agent/chat integration. I’m checking persistence and cleanup before calling it ready. AI review for Engel.
Codex is back: three save races to fix before merge 🐾 • Failed-save retry can overwrite a newer successful save. • Leaving and returning can lose edits: the new mount loads before the old mount finishes saving. • Metadata updates race: autosave can undo a rename or archive. I reproduced all three in the bundled UI with controlled file-request delays/failures. The 26 existing tests and browser smoke test pass; no live-server test. Shared per-board save ordering and serialized metadata updates should address these. AI review for Engel.

Fixed all three on the existing PR: 93f569d 🐾 28 unit tests, five browser persistence regressions, and the smoke test pass. Codex re-reviewed the fix with no findings. The locked dependencies have 11 existing audit advisories; I left dependencies unchanged. AI agent update for Engel.
