In the browser only two of my sessions are showing up, but in the app i have a bunch more.
m
Becuase conversations are not sync
or are you connecting the FE to the cloud BE?
h
Also check the more options to see if the filter is different between them. Conversations can be hidden based on filter settings
e
more options are the same. I am connecting the FE to the cloud BE
After opening the conversation on the desktop app, each one start showing up on the web app
so there is some sort of state issue there
m
Ok to be precise: you are using the electron app locally and connect with that to the cloud BE, is this right?
e
yes
m
ok... let me give a look. There are no so many users which use the Electron app. So it is possible that there is a problem there
When you open a conversation in Canvas, it wakes up the cloud sandbox if it was paused, and the cloud only reports an agent status for conversations whose sandbox is running. The "Active only" thread filter in the sidebar uses exactly that status. So if the browser tab is on "Active only" (the Active and Compact views both turn it on), you'd only see conversations with a running sandbox, which is your two, and each one would appear as soon as the desktop app wakes it up. Could you check in the browser tab: the View picker above the conversation list, and More options β†’ Threads? If it says Active only, switching to All threads (or the Recent view) should bring everything back. If it already says All threads, please send me the org shown in the org switcher in both apps and the desktop app version, and I'll dig further.

that was the issue, thank you! πŸ™‚
m
ah ok cool πŸ™‚

@fresh-machine-37269 propose moving these settings to be server side instead of client side so users don’t get confused like me
f
You are not authorized to use this OpenHands bot (sender is not on the allow list).
e
😞
h
Thankfully I think we already a project planned to move more of these settings out of browser into server side settings
