I wonder if we could use a browser based or minimal bundled model to do small things like title generation. Then there could always be some LLM actions available

I think it should be reachable today…
Another thing I was thinking was to somehow embed or retrieve an OpenRouter key, for one or more models marked with ‘free’, though I don’t know how to solve the problems with that
Another way to look at this, might be: why? Everybody, Cline, opencode, pi, you name it, needs the user to start with an LLM. And, it works. What are other things in the interface/experience that seem to pose a problem for OpenHands users? For instance, I think provider connections are a good idea. But when I went to use them, somehow they’re in the same place same height/style with the raw profile, and iirc they were on the second line. (iirc?) Is there ever or almost ever a need for raw profiles anymore? Maybe take it out, and keep a tiny link on bottom to them
Yet another way: when else you don’t need an API key? Subscriptions. ChatGPT subscription, other subscriptions. What if we can emphasize that? They’re incredible value. Some recent SemiAnalysis results were like, • ChatGPT sub users get ~USD 2,500 for 200 • Anthropic USD 11,000 (!) in API cost for 200 bucks. ChatGPT Sign In. While this feels a bit to me like attempting to trap in OpenAI ecosystem, but from OpenHands Canvas users perspective it seems like a smooth way… would people use it if they could Sign In with ChatGPT into Canvas, and have their LLMs automagically selected?

I need to read up on what the chatgpt sign in will provide. Those easy add LLM options help so much to get started
