<!here> 🤖 Agent Canvas 1.27.1 is out! A few very exciting updates in this release helping to add more flexibility with your agents and where they can run: • A new Automation UI and flow - A new split-panel setup flow, agent-assisted form updates, and automation drafts make it easier to configure automations without losing progress. • OpenCode and Pi ACP Support - OpenCode and Pi are now available as built-in ACP agents. So you can add agent profiles that make use of Pi, OpenCode, Claude, Codex, Gemini CLI, and of course the OpenHands agent. • Better usability and accessibility - Improved tablet navigation, keyboard support, Escape handling, responsive settings dialogs, clearer validation, and more polished onboarding flows. • Digital Ocean Managed Agents - Our first partner built backend lets you add the new DO Harness Runtime as a backend for running conversations on their super fast Firecracker microVMs. Documentation Link and Launch post. See the release notes for the full 1.27.0+1.27.1 notes with more details. I also recently posted a September release roundup highlighting v1.17 through v1.24 for those that missed it. Last month introduced new easier to use automations for building a software factory, the new Agent Profile tool and scope options, and the Docker conversation runtime! gratitude thank you Thanks to contributors enyst, Placidoe, malhotra5, simonrosenberg, amandhaw, kr1shna-exe, fengyue-xve, lx3133584, hieptl, smolpaws, pei711, GoldArowana, errmakov, awss1i, and the wider OpenHands community!

If you tried using the Digital Ocean Managed Agents when running Agent Canvas in Docker I have a PR up to address some reported snags another user ran in to here: github.com/OpenHands/docs/pull/946 If these help (or don't) let me know! 🙏

Sorry, is this accurate? This sounds like a terrible UX, and I believe we shouldn’t ask people to paste plaintext passwords… on every restart…? Sorry, probably I misunderstand, I haven’t yet used the DO backend, I was going to look into it
l
Yeah, I’m not sure the design of this was thought through very carefully 😅
But I think it is what it is, if lots of people start using it then we can fix it
h
That is correct, I didn't realize on my first testing but the agents caught it. We can update to ouath. I think the plumbing is already in place
c
I understand, but sorry, I think this kind of thing might cut the other way around: bad UX is not the kind of thing that brings people in
Oh, that sounds great!
l
Agreed, but this is an auxiliary feature and we have lots of stuff to do 🙂 Happy to have someone else fix it though
h
It should be fillable with an env, I can update the docs pr for now so its an easier option

Thank you!
