A decade-some ago, Paul Graham told the world his advice for startups: “_make something people want_”. It's disconcerting these days how many things change with LLM capabilities raising, and SDLC is changing and things change for orgs and processes and stuff too. But I think this one remains constant. So, I made a little experiment across repos, where my agent set off a DeepSeek Pro to answer the question: • what do people want? Please note that it’s quite blunt 😅, it’s just an idea of what our agents can surface. What OpenHands users actually want Note: It looks at all issues posted in 3 repos: OpenHands, agent-sdk and automation repos, and it uses two lenses: • first, all issues (the entire project/community, as seen from those repos) • second, _wider community only_: issues by people who don’t have write access to the repos.

This is great! I love these kinds of break downs
The work Juan has been doing is still building towards the model routing piece but selection is another thing I've noticed as a rough edge. Being able to use a one-click ACP has come up quite a few times in user interviews as a delighter because it made it so easy to just start.

Hey @hundreds-twilight-32833, I looked at this and thought it was a really good breakdown in that it (1) considered things from actual users, and (2) seemed grouped in coherent ways. I’d love to try to set up something like this to happen regularly, maybe through an automation or somethign

I do a version of this every 4-5 weeks but not across the same surfaces or breaking down between maintainer vs community. I think automating it as a monthly or quarterly artifact would be a great idea

Thanks a lot!

My agent was merciless when I asked for the non-maintainer view: “what raises in ranking is the pain. The errors, the stalled conversations, the agent going silent, dying mid-run.” 🥹
