Hey, I reviewed the
AGENTS.md
files in the SDK and found several inconsistencies and errors. Moreover, I trimmed the
ROLE
section (the reasoning is in the PR summary), this reduces the size of
AGENTS.md
by 18%. Since this file is loaded every time the agent inspects the repo, this should help performance/cost. If you'd prefer to keep the original
ROLE
section, that change is in a separate commit and can easily be dropped. PR: docs: fix stale claims in AGENTS.md and trim the ROLE preamble cc @calm-artist-7206

Approved, thank you! The
ROLE
section, I believe, comes from the Linus’ skill; we must have been trying to teach the implementor agent the rules by which the reviewer-roasted was reviewing its work in the past… or something like that.
m
I also think that the AGENTS-md file should just contain high-level style, and then you put specific things inside the various packages. Are we already doing that in some sense right?
c
Yes
As for
ROLE
, it might belong in
SOUL.md
in some sense, too? Or an alternative
SOUL.md
maybe. It wanted to be more like “workflow”, or “principles to keep when you work here”… Let’s leave it alone, it might be worth thinking about later if by any chance we notice anything…
