Anyone run the Agent SDK in aws lambda? I got it running and consuming messages off a SQS queue just fine then hit a wall when the terminal tool didnt work because a pty wasn't available.

can you run arbitrary container images in lambda these days?

You can definitely give an ECR image as long as its "lambda compatible". They seem to support either building off their base image or as long as you start the container with their runtime environment.

is there any way to shell out inside of lambda? you could replace the default command tool with a custom one

My guess is no. Not stock Lambda or the subprocess alternative would have already worked. It tried to work around it but still needed a PTY. I'm going to look into microvms. They also look like they accept dockerfiles but are more tuned to agentic workflows. It might take me a few days. This is a sideproject. I'll report back what I find
