hey guys! I'm trying to use openhands for the first time, but i'm getting an error
Copy code

Input should be a valid string [type=string_type, input_value=[TextContentBlock(annotat...meta=None, type='text')], input_type=list]

Hey there @great-memory-96051 nice to meet you. Did you already resolve this? Which agent did you pick when you installed Canvas? Claude Code, Codex, Github CLI, or OpenHands?
l
Hey @great-memory-96051, sorry about this! We identified and fixed this error already but it might not be out in a release
g
@important-yak-87889 i'm using Claude code and already fixed it in my local, there's an issue reported github.com/OpenHands/agent-canvas/issues/1610 Fix: on agent-canvas 1.1.0 (macOS) it hits every new conversation. Root cause is a version mismatch — the bundled
openhands-sdk
calls s`elf._conn.prompt(prompt_blocks, self._session_id)` positionally, but the resolved
acp
flipped the signature to
prompt(self, session_id, prompt, ...)
, so the args get swapped. I patched it locally by calling with keywords
(prompt=..., session_id=...)
, there's a second positional call in the fork-session path too.
any ETA on the release?
l
Yeah, that’s a good question about the agent-canvas release. I don’t know if we actually have anyone in charge of cutting releases, but we probably should. @wooden-umbrella-84098 was mentioning this earlier too
We can try to get one out soon though
