I had a quick chat with @modern-fireman-99755 about [Bug]: Missing Runtime Services information in non development modes (NPM&Docker) seems to cause Automation creation to fail . He spun up this PR which injects it in automatically in non dev environments. I did a quick test and it does seem to fix the issue for me so creating automations from a conversation works as expected. We both were not sure however if this is the correct way to fix the issue.

The PR isn't super clean yet... I'm refining it right now. Just a sec! 🙂
Ok, now there is a single builder used by both dev and docker. Basically, this PR centralizes the construction of
runtime-services-info
h
Can you give this PR a try when you get a chance @ancient-car-4311? I know you were running into the same issue I was yesterday with docker
a
I'll test it out now!

Please check that in the system prompt you have the runtime-serves-info and that the automation creation is actually working. thanks!

Yes, this worked great!
I also have this block in my Agent tools & Metadata info now
Copy code
<RUNTIME_SERVICES>
You are running inside an agent-canvas dev stack started in 'docker' mode.
The following services are reachable from your sandbox. URLs are written
from your point of view (i.e., as you should curl/fetch them).

* Agent Server (you): <http://127.0.0.1:18000>
    The OpenHands Agent Server this agent is running inside. Tool calls (terminal, file_editor, browser, etc.) execute here.
* Automation backend: <http://127.0.0.1:8000>
    OpenHands Automations service. All routes are mounted under '/api/automation'. Authenticate with header 'X-Session-API-Key: $OPENHANDS_AUTOMATION_API_KEY'.
    Docs:    <http://127.0.0.1:8000/api/automation/docs>
    OpenAPI: <http://127.0.0.1:8000/api/automation/openapi.json>
    Auth:    header 'X-Session-API-Key: $OPENHANDS_AUTOMATION_API_KEY'

Trust this block over guessing: do not assume any other URLs are running.
In particular, <http://127.0.0.1:18000> inside your sandbox is the Agent Server
you are running inside of — NOT the automation backend.
</RUNTIME_SERVICES>

Ah nice 🙂

Great if @fierce-account-55183 or @quick-window-91705 could take a look too
