 are we stuck on 4.8?

☝️ are we stuck on 4.8?
l
i don’t believe so, @millions-crayon-32880 do we have status here?
w
I see it in latest agent-canvas UI actually!
m
Interesting, so what is the process to release for the Agent or is it irrelevant? Because https://github.com/OpenHands/software-agent-sdk/pull/3427 was merged but there hasn't been a Release yet? Is agent-canvas just building off main for now? or do we just considered agent decoupled from frontier releases?
m
4.8 is supported on all but SaaS, it will be supported on SaaS on next release. @microscopic-night-41309 all builds read model list from verified_models.py, to avoid releasing on every model, we also read models list from an up-to-date DB. Currently, there is an issue on SaaS with the DB access, but it should be restored soon.

Got ya, I don't use SaaS - (I Only the Agent SDK) I guess what I'm stuck on is in
verified_models.py
we have a bunch of
VERIFIED_ANTHROPIC_MODELS
, etc.. To me "Verified" means these models have been tested and run well with the SDK v1.24.0 (latest) does not have 4.8 in it https://github.com/OpenHands/software-agent-sdk/blob/v1.24.0/openhands-sdk/openhands/sdk/llm/utils/verified_models.py So with my assumption of the word Verified - I would expect at minimum a patch release when a new model has been vetted and added to that list Is that correct? Or are we forced to fork -> create our own tag -> release Pinning to main isn't a valid option since there is a ton happening at all times
but if that's not the intention - that's fine as well, I can add models on my end - just wanted to make sure if I was reading what verified meant correctly or not xD
m
Yes, verified means we tested and benchmarked the model. At the moment we are not doing patch releases (we are currently focusing on reducing time-to-verfication) but patch-releases it's an interesting idea. I'll mention it to the team.

👍 , Yea just figuring out what SLA contract I can provide personally But to note: Opus 4.8 Isn't GA in LiteLLM either - that's still only on a bleeding release. Their zero day releases are technically not stable either 🤷
Thanks for the answer! That's what I basically looking for ♥️
