I think this fix for the planner tab bug is not the right direction https://github.com/OpenHands/agent-canvas/pull/861. It would be great if we can go the other way and actually support plan mode for agent canvas. Any strong opinions against it for any reason?

Hello @hundreds-twilight-32833, In the current local GUI setup, when we create a new conversation, a Docker sandbox is created and an SQLite database is used. On the conversation page, when switching to the planning agent, a sub-conversation is created that shares the same sandbox as the current conversation. The two conversations are linked together through the

parent_conversation_id

field in the SQLite database. For Agent Canvas, we still need to explore and evaluate different approaches to properly support the planning agent workflow. Because of this, we currently hide the change agent button when connecting to a local backend. The pull request you mentioned also hides the planner tab to help avoid potential confusion for users while this support is still being defined. Thank you very much! thankyou
