🧵 Skills view.
The initial text says "Discover skills to add to your workspace." This makes me think these are skills that I could install, but there is not install button. When I click into the card I see there is an enabled / disabled switch and the skills are enabled by default. So these aren't skills to discover and add, they are already present and ready to use. So then I start looking for where to add new skills, skills that aren't already loaded... The drop-down filter makes me think that with "All" selected I may be seeing a mix of installed vs discoverable/available to add skills. But it doesn't appear to do that. I don't see an option for skill library or skills to add, etc. When I pick always active, all of the skills disappear. So wait? I thought these were enabled, but when I pick always active they are gone? So what are those skills. The add skill button is disappointing because I don't get a library of available skills at all. Instead it tells me I have to add them from a repo... Nothing browsable.
Possible UX fixes for this: a. Change the language in the initial prompt to say indicate that these skills are automatically loaded and active in my environment so that I am not expecting a search and install experience. b. Or perhaps better, two tabs: enabled vs disabled OR active vs available OR turn the drop down into entries into a tabs. Each tab pane could then describe what it means -- auto-discovered vs trigger-based etc and could have a filter box below the heading and description.
