I did a fresh install this morning to do some testing and I'm getting an error trying to start conversations. Did some debugging with OH and turning off the Condenser in settings seems to fix the issue. Error looks like:
ValueError: Usage ID 'default' already exists in registry. Use a different usage_id on the LLM or call get() to retrieve the existing LLM.
Anyone else run into that after recent commits?
m
Do you have/had a profile named ‘default’?
h
No, I did a full
rm -rf ~/.openhands
m
Ah ok interesting. And if you activate the condenser the same error comes back? If you can replicate the bug i think it is worth to open an issue for that. ty
h
Yep. I'll write it up. Figured I'd ask here to see if its effecting anyone else since it came up on new install
f
I just saw this too
I have a draft PR which claims to fix it, and I've tested it and confirmed it fixes the issue, though I don't like the approach: https://github.com/OpenHands/software-agent-sdk/pull/3378) (Set
OH_AGENT_SERVER_GIT_REF=fix/duplicate-usage-id-registry-error
in your .env) I am refining it further
m
I think @limited-student-10747 already fixed that 🫣
l
Yeah, this fixes it, it just needs a review: https://github.com/OpenHands/software-agent-sdk/pull/3368
m
I'm double checking one thing
l
Thanks! BTW: I have manually checked and i got the error before when using the agent canvas and not after, so i’m pretty sure it fixes the problem
m
I was checking we are still saving the tokens correctly. I had a bug with tokens and subagents once because of
model_copy
Everything look fine Accepted ✅
h
I'm still getting the same error this morning. Is there any release or code change that needs to happen on either agent-canvas side or the sdk? Maybe @fierce-account-55183 can see if he is getting it as well
I can disable the condenser to keep testing but a new user would just see the conversation start then throw an error
m
The fix was in the sdk and it was released yesterday. I think we should update the sdk in agent-canvas Let me confirm that
h
I see
OpenHands SDK v1.23.1
in startup for the agent-server in canvas
m
Ok this is because agent-canvas pins agent-server / tools / workspace, but not the SDK. The default uvx command (dev-safe.mjs:408-416) pins exactly three packages:
Copy code
"--from", `openhands-agent-server==1.23.0`,
 "--with", `openhands-tools==1.23.0`,
 "--with", `openhands-workspace==1.23.0`,
Ok two things: 1. We should probably pin the versions for the 4 packages, i.e., openhands-agent-server, openhands-tools, openhands-workspace and openhands-sdk 2. I can also reproduce the bug
h
Thanks for looking at it @modern-fireman-99755!
l
I also need to bump the typescript client version, one sec
