Just sharing for awareness, we have high level MVP goals here. We've made good progress on many of them! Ideally, we can make a bigger announcement about Agent Canvas around June 1st so we can get more people trying it out, but I think we need to: • establish a release process • figure out a reliable install path for Windows, MacOS, Linux ◦ Seeking Feedback: what do folks suggest? homebrew, npm, a bash script? • figure out what prevents folks from using Agent Canvas as their daily driver - missing features? quality bugs? hard to startup? • resolve critical bugs and reliability issues documented in the Agent Canvas issues

Another question - what could make Agent Canvas even more compelling to a first-time user? Current assumption: Integration Hub + Automations could allow for a bunch of unique trigger-based and recurring agents that integrate with your tool chain Would another one be using OpenHands in Slack? We hear from a lot of users/customers that using OPenHands in via the Slack resolver is magical.

Slack and similar feel like necessary workflows. Oh, I just noticed that the issue with the summary message was fixed? It looks great, and I think maybe we could use it more in this Slack workspace, for people to have some fun seeing it

Would love that!

re: windows we need testing on windows install, run before we say it works on windows. sometimes there are common errors that pop up that aren't caught unless some one actually goes through the process. I am happy to help as a Windows user. re: mac I like homebrew alot because it is so EASY to update all my packages. Would be great to eventually have electron or another method where it just installs and opens in a 🫰 I noticed Discord, Figma, and Slack use electron. They work so well whether on Mac or Windows. I cannot add to the Linux discussion 😢

• I can see a useful Files panel to inspect code and changes even when I don’t have a public git repo
This doesn’t seem useful to me. You’re local, surely you can do anything - open your editor, a git diff, a terminal. I don’t see that “no git repo” is worth the burden 🤷‍♂️ To the contrary, we were talking in the past about making a git repo a first class concept in the sdk. Nit: I don’t understand why “_public_ git repo”? What works with public, would work with private repo too, it seems to me?

I think thats fair. The diff should show when you have changes with the Files panel now but the structure isn't as smooth as it could be. Detecting and connecting to your local editor of choice should be supported. A git repo is supported, but the 'I can' statement was intended to cover not requiring you to connect to github just to work on a project within the local canvas.
