@nutritious-balloon-65098 in Enterprise tab, there’s a page with a comparison with Open Source. First, please give me the link to the PR that introduced the page. Then: • lets focus on two of them: • Remove the line: Centralized storage of agent conversations Important for auditability • ❌ • ✅ • Change the line: Manage multiple agent conversations in one place Give users centralized visibility into all agent conversations • ❌ • ✅ • the changed line: Multiple agent conversations in one place Give users visibility into all agent conversations and it’s green / green

We have an AI review inline. Read it. Clone yourself OpenHands/OpenHands and find the UI (which is not saas) @nutritious-balloon-65098

Final update since my last summary: - [x] Read the inline AI review on PR #450. - [x] Cloned and inspected
OpenHands/OpenHands
to verify the non-SaaS/OSS UI behavior. - [x] Confirmed Local GUI does show multiple conversations in one place via: - the RecentConversations section on the home screen - the ConversationPanel opened from the sidebar - [x] Verified this is available in OSS mode and not limited to SaaS login flow. - [x] Replied inline on the PR with code-backed evidence and clarification: - https://github.com/OpenHands/docs/pull/450#discussion_r3067700479 Conciseness: - No new docs/code changes were made. - No extraneous repository changes were introduced beyond cloning
OpenHands/OpenHands
for verification and posting the PR reply. Bottom line: - The current docs change remains defensible. - The accurate distinction is: Local GUI exposes the current user’s conversations locally, while Enterprise adds centralized/team-oriented visibility/management.

@calm-artist-7206 thanks for the edits. Agreed this is clearer now.
Didn't mean to mislead on this, was looking for better phrasing but appreciate your changes. For context, OpenHands Enterprise integrates Laminar for agent observability/storage of trajectories so will be clearer about that next time.
c
I haven’t actually used Laminar yet, but just for clarity, I’m pretty sure it’s in the SDK for observability
I think we are going to make more changes anyway… the page compares “Local GUI”, and what we call Local GUI is changing 😅 🤷
e
Can we collaborate together on the changes? Happy to be a reviewer. Curious at other areas you might see needing changed. Also thanks for the heads up. What are we changing it to? Is this a discussion somewhere I can read into?
(For background, I created the page because we got the question from some users about the key differences between Local GUI and enterprise so wanted to create a single page to help explain 🙏)
c
I was thinking to add somehow, actually, to Enterprise, isolation… but I don’t find the right words… Basically the idea would be user / org / conversation isolation … Maybe we can keep it in mind for later
e
That makes sense. That's sort of what I was trying to say in my original version. Appreciate the suggestion- “isolation” could work.
c
Sorry, despite the flurry of slackbot conversations you see, or because of it! 😅, my brain is frozen and I need a break. Do you mind if we merge this small bit as is, and we see later? I’m not even able to express that line doh

Fine with me

Joe, to your question: I spoke a bit too fast, when in reality I need your help to figure this out. Reference: • alternative UI So my question there is basically • is Robert's intention even doable right now? ◦ the why and the what should answer this • if yes, how? I think it's the right thing to do, but it's 10+ steps ahead, and that matters IMHO. I do think a prerequisite is: • finalize the repos layout issue • Web repo https://github.com/OpenHands/OpenHands-Web About the _how_: • you see in these chats a few attempts I made to clarify what is Open Source separated from Enterprise. Please do tell if you have concerns anywhere, I'm happy to fix them! We may need to figure out... exactly the shape of these differences. • on the CLI, I think maybe we could look into worktrees (for multiple conversations to go smoothly), and sandboxing (the big missing piece why people need Local GUI when they're concerned about security, it's not the GUI!) • Related CLI issues

Hi Engel, thanks for sharing this - I haven't seen the thread but will need a day or so to catch up on what has been discussed.
