I aksed OH why this happened:

The bot's summary comment is entirely in French, but its actual PR review (posted via all-hands-bot) is in English. The French text is the task summary that the openhands-ai[bot] posted as a conversation
  wrap-up.

  The likely cause: enyst's trigger command was /codereview-roasted — the OpenHands agent ran the task, posted the English review correctly, but when it generated its final summary comment, the underlying model
  defaulted to French. This can happen when:

  1. The model detected the user's name/locale as French-speaking (enyst's profile or prior interactions)
  2. The word "Résumé" in the task context (common in code review workflows) triggered the model to switch to French
  3. A system prompt or agent configuration issue where the language wasn't pinned to English

  This is a bug in the OpenHands bot's agent — the final summary should be forced to English regardless of user locale. It would need a "Always respond in English" instruction in the agent's system prompt.

😅 it could also be bug in anthropic's latest models. I've heard some reporting that even claude code will suddenly start to generate a different language for no reason

I would have to check which one my was. I honestly can't recall. But i thought it might be geography based. Sometimes I get ads in Spanish so i thought it was related to my IP

Anecdata from trying the past few days • GPT-5.4 kinda stops mid fix and needed a push • Claude-Sonnet-4.6 found it opened unrelated PRs frequently (instead of doing a fix, it did a PR to detect early if the bug happened, not what I asked)
Both answered in English though even with my southerner IP
