I've been trying to play with OpenHands for a couple weeks and I keep running into bugs no matter how I try to use it. Curious if there is a stable version that's been tested for the webui along with running local llm? I first tried
uv tool install openhands --python 3.12
and ran into issues with when you set MCP server, it nulls out the llm url. Second I tried to pull a branch with a fix that resolved this issue, I had some tmux errors but used kiro to help do a few code changes and everything worked at first, but regularly would have an error and the conversation would seem to go dead and not accept input. I found that a docker restart on the container would wake it up to continue where I left off and I was able to do that. When I shelled into the container I noticed it had 10+ instances of chromium running when it stopped responsing. I just tried to get latest on main branch since the changes I needed where merged in, and now I'm getting a completely new set of errors around my workspace folder. Last attempt I made was to run
uv tool upgrade openhands --python 3.12
and managed to get a few requests to go through but I'm still regulalry hitting an issue where the sandbox stops taking requests and seems to just disconnect.

Hey @abundant-librarian-48157, we all use OpenHands regularly and it's typically reasonably stable on release versions. If you could provide a bit more info about what commands you ran in what environment in a GitHub issue that's typically the best way to start debugging

My primary issue is the constant error in the conversation without any understanding of what happened and what I need to do to fix it. I assume some of this is compounded by the fact I'm using a local LLM and there are performance and response quality issues that may be causing non-optimal steering by the llm. For reference I'm on a 64gb M3 Max mac running qwen/qwen3.5-35b-a3b. Right now simple asks (may be difficult to perform) like "update all components to use a standard color pallet and style, create a new branch for this work, and give me a PR when your done" will end up having errors after running for 5-10 min and just stop responding and the only way to wake it up is to restart the docker container.

Got it, do you see errors in the terminal log or UI? If so, could you copy-paste them here?
