The slack plugin is very flaky for me recently, not starting up at all. Here is one example (on a private channel): • https://allhandsai.slack.com/archives/C0A4YK70L3X/p1772028977869299?thread_ts=1772028857.625859&cid=C0A4YK70L3X

it takes ~1m for my list of repos to come back

Ah can follow up later, but we run a background job so its not caught in the endpoint trace If we had a log prior to fetching repos we could have caught it in the trace
It seems likely that its due to fetching a large number of repos though
l
Ah, and maybe timing out?

w
could maybe fall back to saying "what repo" and asking the user to enter free text
q
https://github.com/OpenHands/OpenHands/pull/13273 Fix for flakiness Repo selector appears instantly and you can do external searches for your repos (so we're not constricted to a strict set of static repos)

Explainable error messages should appear as well in the event something goes wrong and you need to retry

Any update on this, was wondering if people were using slack bot over here
c
It's fine for me
a
oh good, I was looking for a recent example in a channel and didn't see any
I am doing a blog post on how useful it is and was wondering if people could see it in action over here as well as trigger it
c
I hope we are also pursuing the issue on the last agent message (instead of summary), not sure at what stage is that one. So that IMHO we could maybe start using it freely in any channel. I've been thinking for a while that it would help, for people to see more naturally, directly, how cool it is - because come on, it is. 😅
Have you seen the channel #C091TN9PPJ9 ?
a
oh that is cool, so anyone can use that -- wow!!
c
Technically, it needs an account on the cloud, because it runs on your account. So the user needs to click stuff in the cloud UI or here (don't remember) to link their username, first
a
ok cool, I will mention it in the post then, it helps make it real
