02/16/2026, 6:12 PM@happy-continent-21001There is no change today. The Discord server will be a community managed and community run place for OpenHands users to congregate. At this time, we cannot guarantee the Discord server will be officially maintained by OpenHands maintainers. Only the Slack server will be officially supported by the OpenHands maintainers. In the future, OpenHands maintainers can revisit on supporting the Discord server officially.

02/16/2026, 6:15 PMI think we need the Discord server. I made last week a Discord skill, so that the agent can help us make a Discord agent.

02/16/2026, 6:30 PMI get it, I really do. I think maybe we need to talk, though.

02/16/2026, 6:30 PMre: Discord Skill, Discord agent
This is a great community project 👏. I love empowering the community to maintain and own the Discord server. But the Discord skill/Discord agent does not change there is no guaranteed OpenHands maintainer support in the Discord server.

02/17/2026, 1:27 PMSorry, Jamie, I'm going to translate your posts. So what Jamie is saying, I think - please correct me if wrong - is simply that Graham, mamoodi and herself are way too busy to come back to Discord, to moderate or answer questions.
I'm sorry, pierruno. I mean, nothing changed from some ~couple of months ago. For some reason Jamie's post comes across to me like something changed, but my impression was kinda incorrect: it didn't. Not on the substance.

02/17/2026, 1:50 PMSo how do you think, @happy-continent-21001, about maybe using this server for an experiment: an agent to answer questions? Would that help?

02/17/2026, 3:44 PMI have edited my previous thread messages for clarity emphasizing OpenHands maintainers. Let me know if there needs to be help covering the cost of an OpenHands bot in Discord. Happy to see what can be done to support this.
gratitude thank you 1
