1. The residuals keep falling steadily all the way to the end (Ux from about 1.7e-5 to 1.5e-8, Uy and Uz from about 1e-4 to 1e-6, between t = 16.5 s and 60 s). I believe this means the flow was settling into a steady state. 2. Yes but only visually in Paraview. For now I just check the U and its derivatives at various cross-sections. The results didn't change so much after 20 or 30s (need to double check) 3. Got it, the current setup is on the isotropic side. 4. My schemes (would appreciate any feedback on this): - ddt: backward - grad: Gauss linear - div(phi,U): Gauss LUST grad(U) - div(phi,k): Gauss limitedLinear 1 - div((nuEff*dev2(T(grad(U))))): Gauss linear - laplacian: Gauss linear limited 0.5 - interpolation: linear - snGrad: limited 0.5 - wallDist: meshWave I haven't done any precursor RANS stuff. Will give it a try. 5. As for the plots, I checked the cross-sections at several points along the channel. These are instantaneous screeshots, because after 30-40s, things didn't change so much, so I thought the average would be similar to the instantaneous profiles. Can you tell me more about kOmegaSST? I thought LRR would be better to visualize secondary currents, but maybe I am mistaken.
