I think we can do without adding the gzip dependency:

A-ha, so, until <https://github.com/nf-core/tools/pull/4449|this PR> is merge, I can force-reinstall the nf-core tools via
```pip install --upgrade --force-reinstall git+<https://github.com/nf-core/tools.git@containers/add_gzip>```
I'll give it a try to remove the gzip bundles

Thanks a lot for your hint. I reinstalled the nf-core tools using the current _dev_ branch (since <https://github.com/nf-core/tools/pull/4449|github.com/nf-core/tools/pull/4449> has already been merged) and tried to rebuild the images.
It worked right away
