How can I exclude a full size test from the CI? It’s the sort of thing that should be ran on AWS for before a release only. I tried modifying my
.nf-test.config
like so, but that doesn’t seem to do it.
Copy code
// ignore tests coming from the nf-core/modules repo
    ignore = [
        'modules/nf-core/**/tests/*',
        'subworkflows/nf-core/**/tests/*',
        'tests/test_full.nf.test*', // Ignore test_full in CI.
    ]
Is there another spot I can tweak this at?

try looking at the github actions instead
AWS full tests are not via nf-test
but via the awsfulltest.yml file in the .github/ subfolders
t
my issue is that my
testst/test_full.nf.test
is being picked up by the nf-test.yml GA. I am unsure how to exclude that from executing on CI. Should the test_full have its own tag, so that it is not picked up as a shard or? (I have not seen that done in any other pipelines atm)
m
ooh I see
Why does this test in particular have a nf-test setup?
But yeah otherwise tags would be a way to go. We have split up tests in #CGFUX04HZ depending on tags

I wanted to make sure the output files are consistent (name only) for the big test too, hence the nf-test. Is that not the standard way to go? 😅
but ok. good to know the tags option would be ok. I just don’t want to diverge too much from the standard stuff
m
Even I haven't done that, so definitively non standard 😆
All CI via nf-test is only meant to be run on GHA
But I am interested to see what you have done
