starting some experimental work on the side to speed up testing: github.com/nf-core/sarek/pull/2265 I was thinking: time all tests and then batch them in ways that each of them takes the same time. At the moment it feels like all the long running tests end up in the same shard.

what now?

I spend most of my day waiting for CI, which is making me angry. So I am exploring options that will reduce that time and make me develop faster. Step 1: can I make all shards take the same time, so It's not always one of them I wait around for Step 2: can we reduce test aclls without reducing coverage Step 3: Stub tests as first gate, so wiring issues are foung=d without me waiting for 45min for all tests to run? Anything else? Ltest -everything only on a selection?
