Is there a way to skip linting of

meta.yml

files for local subworkflows only? I really cannot be bothered to write them and the linting warnings are ugly to me

Can't you just not run it with

--local

? Local components are not linted by default when you run

subworkflows lint

Also I believe when this was implemented I made the meta.yml stuff warning-only for local, so it shouldn't be a hard error. Also you can try combining

--local

with explicit test names via (i forgot the exact param maybe)

nf-core pipelines lint

, not subworkflows. You're right they're just warnings, but given that I have no intent to fix them they clutter up the lint output as I have a lot of them!

I don't use pipelines lint so not sure what options it has. Ideally it would have one to suppress linting of local components and/or modify which tests are run. I do think it has the ability to stop any component linting at all though so that might be an option, and then just run whatever lints you need with the specific component commands.
