Hi All, how does nf-metro control or determine when to go top-down and right-left as in the rna-seq example? In the nf-metro guide, it mentions a 'TB' section in the
rnaseq_auto.mmd
, but it isn't defined anywhere in the .mmd file. Looking at the
rnaseq_auto.mmd
I don't see anything special defined anywhere, but running it also just works... 😅 For context, in my own .mmd file, my final output is a little long (need to scroll) so I want to force at least my final subgraph to snake back if possible. Thanks!

For the global graph this is the beginning:
graph TB
for subgraphs it is the directive
%%metro direction: TB

There's an 'auto' mode that tries to fold once the layout crosses a fixed number of stations horizontally, which is what that 'auto' render is showing you, and which is why there isn't anything in the file. This is a similar one, but with the explicit directions: seqeralabs.github.io/nf-metro/dev/gallery/rnaseq_sections

This is also an interesting bug in the code display:
also happens with

Yeah, I've been meaning to deal with that
e
Oo thanks!!
Another follow up question, for the "auto" mode, is there a way to adjust what that number of stations it will cross before it would wrap around?
j
Yep, it's the fold threshold option. But I confess it doesn't work amazingly yet seqeralabs.github.io/nf-metro/latest/cli#…
