I am working on a pipeline and I have a couple of modules that I think could be added to nf-core. Where is the right place to ask if they could be suitable?

Hi! You can go the corresponding channel here on Slack or check the github issues. Someone might have requested it before.

#CJRH30T6V also works :)

I tried the new-pipelines channel, but I didn't get an answer and all the posts there seem to be automated from Github. So best to create an issue on github.com/nf-core/proposals as a first step?

News-Pipelines and the proposals repo is for full pipelines. Like Georgia says, you normally don't have to ask before you make modules unless you think the tool/module design will violate the nf-core specifications and you need an exception. The only normal 'filter' is like Georgia says - checking the modules do not already exist on issues/pr/modules repo. If not, make an issue, assign yourself and you can start working. If you thinkt he module violates the specifications, then describe the problem with the tool on #CJRH30T6V and we can discuss there
