heyo, I have a container on Docker at community.wave.seqera.io/library/bcftools_phlame_samtools:6cb0177cb0445a3f . How should I go with deriving a SIF path for a Nextflow module?
a
I don’t think I know of a way to get the exact singularity image from an existing docker image. Depending on when you built this original image though you can just go to the seqera.io/containers and enter the same module dependencies and then you can choose
Singularity
instead of
Docker
from the dropdowns at the top before you get the container

That was it! Thank you very much

Just be aware that if the original docker image is old, then the base image used to derive that one and the singularity one may be subtly different. This usually manifests in POSIX/common unix command versions (e.g. some distros moved to
sudo-rs
which doesn’t have all the same options as the C implementation of
sudo
) or the
python
version chosen by the image by default being different,
