Has anyone ever had nf-test claim a snapshot had been rewritten when it hadn't
I have tried using
nf-test --updateSnapshot
directly and
nf-core modules test --update

I am trying to update the snapshot on this PR https://github.com/nf-core/modules/pull/9748 nf-test runs successfully with the updateSnapshot flag but no snapshot is created
@mashehu
To clarify, I can update other snapshots just fine
issue appears module specific 😅

I answered on the PR, but the assertion isn't inside the snapshot, so nothing changed in the snapshot

@Simon Pearce It was included in the test locally
and my experience was tests passing but snapshots not being written
Have been cleaning up some of the other topic versions PRs i created - will have a look at shovill again this week
thanks for all your reviews Simon and @mashehu 🙂
@Simon Pearce OK so it took me far to long to realise that there was in fact no snapshot being created, I was conflating inclusion of the new versions capture in the
.test
with including it within a snapshot within the
.test
I think part of the reason for this confusion is that nf-core test with --update it says things like 'generating nf-test snapshot to check stability' when in fact there is no snapshot being created in the first place
