do we really need this as a special command (source):
# Docker linux/arch64 build and fetch conda lock file
nf-core modules containers conda-lock [module-name]
imo this should just be part of
nf-core m containers create
depends i guess how strict we are with what we mean with
containers
j
the conda container is usually changed after the module is created so I think it makes sense to allow this as a separate command
m
I think
nf-core m con list
should also include the conda lock files
j
alternatively pre-commit or linting can do it
m
but one should anyway run
containers create
after creating the module
j
right, if this command is always run after creating the module then it can be part of it
m
makes it also easier for a certain pipeline container config generator 😉
p
I kind of forget what these commands do tbh
is it because containers create doesn't wait for completion or something?
m
I don't know. it does wait for completion atm (makes the most sense right now). but I want to anyway rethink how we best do this async functionalities because some builds can be slow (I think I had a 20 minute one once)
p
wave should time out after 15 mins
but yeah..
(maybe its 20 mins, I might be wrong)
