you could switch to seqera containers than they start from the same environment.yml (build a seqera container for it (either via the seqera web gui (https://nf-co.re/docs/developing/containers/seqera-containers) or the new

nf-core modules container create

command (in the current dev branch of nf-core tools (

installed via pip install --upgrade --force-reinstall git+<https://github.com/nf-core/tools.git@dev>

))

Will those containers stick around? When I've built wave containers in the past it seemed like they were only retained for a few days.

did you build them with

--freeze

? we will slowly start moving most modules there, so it should stick around

oo I did not use --freeze. I'll give it a go, thanks!

(I would highly recommend the

modules container

command, because it removes the hassle with getting the right https link for singularity etc (and is faster because it sends all image requests in parallel)
