Hello everyone. I'm looking at getting a module for https://github.com/RBVI/ChimeraX in nf-core. They are maintaining a Dockerfile here https://github.com/RBVI/ChimeraX/blob/develop/Dockerfile and they're pushing new images from it here https://hub.docker.com/r/ucsfrbvi/chimerax. If you look at the repo, it requires quite a few dependencies to be installed in order to build the app (the Dockerfile just installs the runtime requirements and then copies the prebuilt binary inside the image). Would it be possible to somehow set up a mirror for the DockerHub image in Quay which is synced up automatically so we can use that in a module?

not automatically, you would need to add a dockerfile to the module and regularly update it, similar to cellranger for example: https://github.com/nf-core/modules/blob/master/modules/nf-core/cellranger/README.md

Cool, that works for me, thank you! It's not ideal, but I think getting this into bioconda / conda-forge / biocontainers is not going to happen anytime soon...
Access rights are needed to push the container to the Dockerhub nfcore organization, please ask a core team member to do so.
I checked the signup page for quay.io and they say I need to be invited to create an account within the nfcore org. Do you know who I should reach out to?
