Philosophically problematic PR, I want to discuss it with you: <https://github.com/nf-core/modules/pull/12197|github.com/nf-core/modules/pull/12197>. The proposed new module is a functional duplicate of an existing one and the only change is the output shape. It feels like there must be a better solution (especially since the original module was created to address code duplication), but I don't see it. Tagging <@UE6D8290F> and <@U065DAZ0PL5> since they were strongly involved in the conversion.

I do not see the difference with htslib/bgziptabix

Maybe we can add a few examples on how to set it up as a markdown readme file to the original module so people just need to copy-paste?

I also think that the proposed module is just a duplicate
