Hi all, is it possible to mark specific tests to be skipped on certain platforms, e.g. skip certain tests on CI / GitHub actions but run in other environments? Something analogous to<https://testthat.r-lib.org/reference/skip.html| >`skip_on_ci()`<https://testthat.r-lib.org/reference/skip.html| from R's testthat package.> How would you accomplish this with nf-test?

yes, add it to <https://github.com/nf-core/modules/blob/master/.github/skip_nf_test.json>

however, it looks like that would skip the entire module for a specific test profile. what if I want to run some tests for a module but not others? is this the only workaround?

yes, that's the only work around. when would a test not run on a specific platform/container?

Just like you want some modules to be skipped for certain profiles (conda/docker/singularity), one might design some tests that only work with a certain profile/platform/environment.
