I made a new OSS tool that creates reports about git repos, based on the figured we put in the recent nf-core paper šŸ™‚ It's fun, have a play! https://ewels.github.io/contributor-graphs/ It has some fun tricks: working across multiple repos (including pulling all repos in an org), showing users and their affiliations, filtering etc. Should work with any git repo.. Example reports: • Whole nf-core org • nf-core/rnaseq • nf-core/sarek

The most difficult bit is fetching people's affiliations. It takes whatever you have on GitHub, but this is only current affiliation (and often unfilled). So for the top 50 on nf-core I used a LinkedIn MCP to scrape people's historical affiliations and use those in the report instead šŸ˜…

next datetime/colouring layer is user complaints quantity, for real beautified git blame

Does not work too well for anyone outside the top 50, looks like it assigns the most recent one to the entire timeline

Yes, that's because I didn't run the LinkedIn scrape on all 1,475 contributors 🫠
