I have a table that contains a lot of rows (up to tens of thousands). The table automatically gets converted to a violin plot. Is there any way to regain access to the table to allow the user to e.g. find the top samples by a column value? Obviously this can only work with table pagination, which I am not sure MultiQC supports.

No, sorry - no way to do this right now
You can force MultiQC to create a table instead of a violin plot, but it'd be pretty unusable
People can export the plot data as a TSV though, and open in excel

Okay, thanks for the information. The TSV is already in the output, so I guess they will have to use it for the time being. Time to open a feature request

I mean, you can also hover over the points
Doing optional paginated tables is a fairly big job, unlikely to happen quickly (just to temper expectations)
I'd basically have to rewrite how tables are rendered, which is a lot more complex than it might appear

No worries, I'll just leave the idea there for posterity (or for when you have too much free time)
