Hello, I am trying to update to the lastest framework of nf-core one of my custom pipeline but I have currently troubles with the subworkflow utils_nfcore_pipeline. Currently it tells me that it can't find the imNotification component (and looking into this subworkflows I don't see this component too).

I had the same problem when attempting to update 'nf-core/utils_nfcore_pipeline' from 271e7fc14eb1320364416d996fb077421f3faed2 to f0b535b3ae20080f8db03dd5388876ad1ec29d70 because that introduce additional syntax errors (here). So I recommend staying at 271e7fc14eb1320364416d996fb077421f3faed2 for now. Not sure why thats broken though. Maybe someone more involved there can illuminate us.

Do you know where I can find all the changes occurring from one framework to another of nf-core as I saw that it seems that parameters are not passed directly to the workflow as it used to be also so I don't totally understand how this is working.

I had another look. This particuar subworkflow can be found in https://nf-co.re/subworkflows/utils_nfcore_pipeline/, code in https://github.com/nf-core/modules/blob/master/subworkflows/nf-core/utils_nfcore_pipeline/main.nf and tPR removing imNotification is https://github.com/nf-core/modules/pull/10119 arguing that its no longer needed when Slack notification support is removed, as proposed in the template. So possibly we have that still present in our code and its on our end 😄

Oh ok so I can just remove this and get the last subworkflow directly right? I'll do that 🙂

subworkflows/local/utils_nfcore_ampliseq_pipeline/main.nf

in nf-core/ampliseq indeed still calls imNotification. Maybe that should be dropped. Not sure how I could miss that though. Maybe just need to compare to other pipelines and fix it 😄
