argh, matlab in modules is breaking my brain. Is really the only way to get a container with matlab to have somebody else publish a container somewhere and we just wrap an nf-core based docker container around that? Asking for this https://github.com/nf-core/modules/pull/10340/changes

Does one need matlab or just something that can read Matlab like GNU Octave?

It used to be that you could build binaries that could be freely distributed. I'd be surprised if it was considered fine by mathworks to use such a build to run other matlab code. If it doesn't work with octave, I'd question whatever it's worth the trouble.
