Hey everyone! We've just open-sourced a new plugin: nf-cgroup-metrics https://github.com/watchmaker-genomics/nf-cgroup-metrics If you're right-sizing your processes, you need accurate memory metrics. Nextflow's default memory tracking is unreliable in containerized environments, overreporting for some tools and underreporting for others. This makes it difficult to right-size appropriately. This plugin replaces Nextflow's default memory tracking with cgroup metrics. These are the same metrics your container runtime uses to enforce memory limits and trigger OOM kills.
