I’m getting a 
ERROR ~ Unexpected error [StackOverflowError]
error on the dev version of my pipeline. Anyone any idea what might be causing it? FYI, this is when using 
nf-test
with 
NXF_VER=26.01.1-edge
to test strict syntax EDIT, both on 25.10.4 and edge
nextflow.log

you think it is related to https://github.com/nf-core/modules/pull/10082 because it seems to fail at that step?

It might, but I don't see why the module tests would have passed if there was a serious issue 🤔

I'll give it a look tomorrow. I suspect it's something to do with the funky version cmd you flagged earlier.

Must be nf-test related 🤔 Can’t reproduce the error when running nextflow with the same config

Nope, only when running the full pipeline. Subworkflows work without any issues
So I’m thinking memory issue 🤷🏻

Your CI still uses nf-test 0.9.3 😛
so it's probably an issue in the new version

Everything works perfectly on 0.9.3

You've probably hit an edge case with the new templates in nf-test 🤔
Could you open an issue? Preferably with a MRE?
