with nf-test are: • It is not quite clear to me if those run in parallel on one runner, or if they are spread across several runners, but I assume that typically this is one runner? • If my test-samplesheet contains e.g. 8 samples, and I use 4 shards will I run 2 samples per shard; with 4 shards running in parallel on the same runner? • I think what I actually would like to understand is how independent those shards are / how they are set up

shards just split up tests, not samples.

Ok, so if I have 1 test that is

profile -test

then sharding will do nothing?
