Any advice on getting pipeline tests to run on codespaces, given their nodes are much smaller resource wise 🙃

There should be a way to get more beefy machines for codespaces, although I have not tried it yet: https://docs.github.com/en/codespaces/setting-up-your-project-for-codespaces/configu[…]ainers/setting-a-minimum-specification-for-codespace-machines But I think those instances then are not free.
We could of course also take and run the new image somewhere else
Just checked, there is a 4CPU 16GB RAM "machine type" available in the free tier (bu you will of course go twice as fast through your free CPU minutes per month 😅) If you go to: github.com/codespaces you can change the machine type for a running instance or create a new one with more fine-grained options. If this works, we could add this as a default to our devcontainer config 👍

nextflow run nf-core/mag -profile singularity,test --outdir test-mag-out
runs now in codespaces with the larger machine type checked

Oooooh perfect! Thank you!
I'll try that another time! (I switched to using a cluster instead in the meantime!)
I guess it would make sense to set this to the devcontainer, as then it would match what we used to have with gitpod... what does others think? Butt yeah, burning through the free CPU minutes sounds scary...

Let's see 😬
