Are SuiteApps normally a one-time payment for the app itself?

Not really. The app is the just the tool. Rarely is it a one time fee. This is SaaS. Its almost always a subscription

Hello, I’m trying to upgrade our unmanaged SuiteBundler SuiteApp to an SDF SuiteApp. My goal is to upgrade users to the new SDF Suiteapp. When installing the SDF SuiteApp, it treats it as a new app install and then it complains that the custom record types already exist - which is true because the SuiteBundler app is still installed. How can I configure the SDF suiteapp to adopt the existing custom records without having to create new custom records and do a data migration? I’ve also tried listing the suitebundler as a dependency…which kind of works but now customers can’t install the SDF suiteapp without the suitebundler app which we plan to EOL

This project will offer maximum exposure to diverse development techniques. 2. Learning Through Challenges: Experience the learning curve and challenges firsthand, as this will allow me to identify gaps and areas where tutorials, guides, and blogs can be of great help to other developers. 3. Enhancing Development Techniques: Further improve my SuiteScript skills and gain exposure to a wide range of development techniques. Do you have any ideas or suggestions for a SuiteApp project that I could work on? What helped you with your learning journey? What roadblocks are you currently experiencing that you would like me to show in the SuiteApp?

Has anyone wrote scripts to migrate/copy up to 100,000 - 500,000 records to a new custom record type? I’m currently playing with M*ap/Reduce scripts* which were designed to process lots of data and help work around the governance limitations. So far it looks like it can migrate 1000 records/min. Curious to know if someone found a better way. Thanks in advance!

You can get a ton of concurrency if you have suitecloud + licenses and you can turn off scripting but on custom records that probably won't help much

You can manipulate a saved search export in excel and reimport as your new custom record type. 25k record limitation per file but might be faster

I've been tasked with trying to figure out a way to ensure our user isnt disabled in a customer's instance. Because our SuiteApp is completely built inside of NetSuite, we have one or two customers who have figured out that they can disable our user and keep our service. I cant stop them from disabling a workflow or script. We tried having a managed script deployed to records that tells the customer that the license service (outside NetSuite) has been disabled as an annoyance; but, the customer just went an undeployed those scripts too. They have since resubscribed (as they needed support with the 2023.2 release) and that is how we found all of this out. I'm being told that NetSuite "cant do anything if the customer disables the user" but that's our intellectual property..... Any suggestions on protecting this scenario would be greatly appreciated.

how to rollback a lock object (custom segment) during installation? or how to unlock an object via SDF installation, I understand there is a lock xml file - is custom object supported on that file and how do you declare an object as unlocked? Thanks!

When working with custom segments in a SuiteApp, how do you get SDF to not complain about them? I'm using Activity Codes and if I don't include them it complains the objects are missing and if I add them it says the "Label is invalid". They are native custom segments so you can't add them to the dependency list since they don't belong to a bundle or application

Hi expert, im using suiteapps approval. in the Approval rule setup (record name=vendor bill) mandatory to select Exception Criteria and i set approval layer role to Tax staff role and treasury role . but when i created new vendor bill (From IR, if the price/qty has no differences)) and submitted, the record was automatic approved, data did not go to Tax staff role and treasury role. is there any missing setup here ?

Like you already know, becoming a member of the SuiteCloud Developer Network isn't that most straight forward thing to do and I was wondering what kind of alternatives do I have in terms of distributing my SuiteApp among to my customers NetSuite instances? I want to opt for the easiest solution (for the customer that is), but also something fellow NetSuite people are accustomed to. Thankful for any answers/feedback on this topic 🙇

Hi, I have a query regd SuiteApps. When I got the publisher ID from NetSuite Support, they said that the publisher ID is tied to one specific environment, say TSTDRV123456. But I am able to create SuiteApp definition in my other accounts too. Could I publish the SuiteApp from any account? How is the publisher ID tied with TSTDRV123456?

HI, i have created few fileds and there type is inline and some of the fields are disabled,but when i am trying csv imports this fileds are not coming in field mapping how can i solve this issue?

in netsuite when i am opening records default results showing the detail's on the record in admin role, when i changed to other role and access the same records defult result showing only edit/View options only why it is?
