Happy New Year, and welcome the new meltano Meltano Slack workspace! Let me kick it off by introducing myself 🙂 I’m Douwe, the Founder & CEO of arch Arch.dev, which is the company behind Meltano. I was born in 🇳🇱 the Netherlands 30 years ago (I just had my birthday on Jan 1st!) and I’ve been living in 🇲🇽 Mexico City for the past 4 years. My wife Gaby is from here — we met when I was here for work 7 years ago and she lived with me in NL for a few years before we made the big move — and we welcomed a 👶 baby boy named Milo in August! My background is in software engineering (I previously worked at GitLab as an early engineer and engineering manager), and since 2020 I’ve been working on bringing the worlds of software and data closer together with Meltano, and now Arch!

We’re back! 👋 Exciting to actually have this up and running again. I’m Taylor, Co-founder and CPO of Arch arch I’m currently living in Arlington, Texas, USA (that’s where some of the sports franchises play - Dallas Cowboys 🏈 Texas Rangers ⚾ ) with my wife, 2 crazy boys, and a geriatric dog. My background is originally in Chemical Engineering, but I fell in love with data and Data Engineering at a startup I joined out of grad school. Since then I’ve lead the data team there and at GitLab. Along with Douwe, we spun Meltano out of GitLab into its own company and have been on quite the journey to being Arch! I’m really excited to continue growing this community and building great tools for data professionals 😄 In my limited spare time I’m a big motorsport fan (F1, IndyCar, NASCAR, WEC, MotoGP) and I love to simrace, and I enjoy working out and fighting against the entropy of getting old 👴

Glad to be back. I'm a data engineer & analyst working in the UK for an SME with background in python dev and analysis, engineering and education. Discovered the Singer ecosystem and meltano around 12 months ago for our ETL and haven't looked back. The SDK is a godsend.

👋 Hello! It's great to be back and see all the activity in this Slack again! I'm Cody, I lead the engineering team at Arch. I've worked as a software engineer for several years doing everything from DevOps and systems work for a trading firm to developing ML models for a consumer-facing startup. I live with my partner and our rambunctious dog in Chicago, where I also volunteer with a nonprofit organization to teach CS and web development to high school students around the city. In the Chicago winters, I spend my free time bundled up indoors reading and making music and then the rest of the year I spend as much time as possible outdoors riding my bike and exploring Chicago's 77 distinct neighborhoods.

Hi everyone! I'm Will, and I'm the staff engineer at Arch. I've been working on Meltano since May 2022, and seeing it be useful for so many people here brings me joy. I've worked on an operating systems for networking hardware, an IDE and libraries for a functional programming language used by financial institutions, DevOps, cloud infra, and more. I live in Canada in Ottawa with my cat Nylah (who I used to post many pictures of to the pets channel). I'm an avid rock climber, and enjoy biking for most of my trips (at least when there isn't as much fresh snow out as there is right now).

Since the arch.dev contact sales form is broken on the website and the pricing page is talking about hosting blogs is there anyone I can talk to about Meltano Cloud? We've got a working POC of self hosted Meltano with Airflow but after some departures and infrastructure changes we need a solution that's more hands off. Ideally we'd like to do a short POC with Meltano Cloud to evaluate its performance in comparison to our self hosted solution. I have to say though the state of the website does not inspire confidence in the platform.
